Looking for a unique way to spend a summer evening in Vancouver?
We’re excited to introduce our new Summer Sunset Evening Cruise—a relaxed two-hour eco tour designed for anyone wanting to experience the beauty of the Salish Sea without committing to a full whale watching excursion.
Operating on Wednesday and Friday evenings from May through September, this experience offers a completely different way to explore BC’s spectacular coastline.
A Different Kind of Evening
Our Summer Sunset Evening Cruise isn’t a whale watching tour.
Instead, it’s an opportunity to slow down, enjoy the changing light over the water, and experience the Fraser River and Salish Sea from a new perspective.
As the sun begins to set, the landscape transforms. Mountains glow in the evening light, the water takes on golden reflections, and the pace of the day gives way to a peaceful evening on the coast.
Wildlife Is Always Part of the Experience
While this tour isn’t designed around finding whales and does not include a whale sighting guarantee, the Salish Sea remains a thriving ecosystem.
Depending on the day, you may encounter:
- Steller sea lions
- Harbour seals
- Bald eagles
- Porpoises
- Seabirds
- And, occasionally, whales travelling through the area
Every trip is different, and that’s part of what makes spending time on the water so rewarding.
The Perfect Addition to a Day in Steveston
Make a day of it by exploring the historic fishing village of Steveston before your cruise.
Browse local shops, enjoy fresh seafood or dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants, stroll the boardwalk, then join us for a peaceful evening on the Salish Sea as the day winds down.
Comfortable, Relaxed, and Family Friendly
Our spacious semi-enclosed vessel offers comfortable seating, panoramic views, an upper viewing deck, and onboard washroom facilities, making it a great option for visitors of all ages.
Whether you’re visiting Vancouver for the first time or looking for a new way to experience the coast, our Summer Sunset Evening Cruise offers an unforgettable evening on the water.
Join us this summer and discover why there’s no better place to watch the sun set than the Salish Sea.
