Essential Guide to Check-in Process at Seabreeze Office

Essential Guide to Seabreeze Adventures Check-In Process

Whale watching is a memorable experience that brings you up close to some majestic creatures in the ocean. But… have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes before you embark on that epic trip? Follow along this post to uncover the check-in process and what makes your marine safari possible.

1. Booking Your Spot

First things first, make sure you have booked your tour in advance. While we are also happy to accept walk-ins, we can’t guarantee that the spots you need are available on the day. Double-check your reservation details is also important, especially when we have 2 sailings during peak season!

2. Arriving at the Check-In Location

We don’t like leaving anyone behind! On the day of your trip, plan to arrive at our office well ahead of the departure time (30 minutes before the tour at the latest). You may have some questions why you need to be here early. This spare time will allow ample time for parking, checking in process, and getting settled. Pro tip: our guests are more than happy to check-in early, so they can wander around Steveston before the time departure.

3. Checking-In

You’ll meet our crew members who will greet you with a smile and guide you through the process.

  • Provide your Booking Name/Reference: Our office staffs will help you check your reservation details.
  • Signing Waivers: Our waiver form needs to be signed digitally. Our guests typically signed their waivers in advance, so they don’t have to be in line to sign the waiver on arrival. But don’t you worry! If you forget about signing the waiver, our device is available to use or you can scan the barcode provided in our office.

4. Comfortable Clothing

We always recommend people to bring the appropriate attire for the trip. It can get chilly on the water (even in summertime or sunny days), so dressing in layers is advisable. You can consider to bring these essential items with you:

  • Warm Clothing: Jacket, sweater, or windbreaker.
  • Sun Protection: Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

5. Boarding the vessel for a Seabreeze Adventure!

Once you are checked in, our naturalists will gather everyone before head down to the dock. They will explain about any safety instructions that you must follow, including life jackets, emergency procedures, and guidelines for watching marine wildlife responsibly. After that, you will be directed to board the vessel and find a seat that provides a good view of the ocean!
