April 23rd on the Salish Sea: Rhinoceros Auklets, Bonaparte’s Gulls, and the 124Ds
On our April 23rd whale watching trip, we left Steveston and were met by some choppy waves, a crowd of sea lions sleeping on the jetty, and hundreds of cormorants. There were no nearby reports of whales in the area, which meant we had to set out and find them! Captain Dan decided to take us south towards Active Pass.

Captain's Log: A Remarkable Encounter with CRC-22668
On our afternoon trip on June 29th we came along an individual that was unknown to us. Thanks to the people from happy whale.com we now know its ID: CRC-22668, last recorded in February around Hawaii and new to the Salish Sea.
