Winter has a way of surprising us on the water — and our January 3rd Winter Eco Tour was a perfect reminder of just how alive the coast remains during the quieter months. As we departed Steveston that morning, the rain eased and the sky began to open. Even if it hadn’t, our covered vessel ensured everyone stayed warm and comfortable as we headed out to explore the winter coastline. One of the joys of winter touring is being able to settle in, take your time, and let the day unfold naturally.

On our afternoon trip on June 29th we came along an individual that was unknown to us. Thanks to the people from happy whale.com we now know its ID: CRC-22668, last recorded in February around Hawaii and new to the Salish Sea.
