It's been an exciting time here at Seabreeze Adventures! In recent months, there has been some secret doings going on behind the scenes that we can finally share! Our office here at Seabreeze Adventures has been here on the water in Steveston for 25 years. We used to have a beautiful mural on the side of the building that was sadly destroyed, along with the rest of the office in the winter of 2016.

It’s now May and we have come to the end of our annual Sea Lion season. Every year our flippered friends make their homes here while they rest up for their long migration. For our local Sliammon nation, the Sea Lions were an important food source. Because of this, there are many legends involving them.

Sea Lion School

Springtime. When the humpback whales come back, Sea Lions take over and kids are still in school. This time of year gives us a great opportunity to see both Stellar and Californian Sea Lions congregate in great numbers in the Salish sea! And to see them super close to home for us in Steveston.

We cover the waters off Vancouver & Richmond but also the Gulf Islands off Vancouver Island & US waters around the San Juan Islands. So much space to find some whales and wildlife!

A whale watching trip to remember, even without whales. We had a rare no "whale-day" this week but we still had a great time while we cruised around in the hope of finding some whales. Sometimes it just isn't our day but we got plenty of other wildlife to learn about and to admire!
